ActivWall featured a custom Maryland kitchen project by Ambition Custom Homes, highlighting how an ActivWall Gas Strut Window helped create a seamless connection between indoor cooking and outdoor entertaining. Designed by Jason Dubin for his own family home, the project included a customized 60-inch by 54-inch window in chestnut bronze, selected to complement the home’s design while adding energy efficiency through Argon-filled LowE glass. Installed above the kitchen sink, the window opens the space to the rear yard, outdoor kitchen, and entertaining area, creating a practical pass-through for food, drinks, and conversation. The article also recognizes the craftsmanship of the kitchen, including reclaimed Maryland barn timbers, custom cabinetry, and carefully selected architectural details. Jason described the window as both highly functional and a “WOW” factor for the home.

About Founder/President of Ambition Custom Homes

Jason Dubin With over two decades in residential construction, Jason Dubin founded Ambition Custom Homes (ACH) in 2017. His hands-on experience spans from field laborer to project manager, including early roles in his family’s flooring business, masonry, painting, and as a carpenter in Colorado and Maryland. Jason has managed the construction of over 100 custom homes and large-scale renovations in the Montgomery County area. In 2018, he designed and built his own custom home and office space in Clarksburg, MD, which received the MBIA Award of Excellence for the Best Custom Home over 10,000 sf in the region. ACH has been operating full-time since 2020, serving Montgomery and lower Frederick County, Maryland. Jason is known for his commitment to quality craftsmanship, efficient project management, and delivering high-end projects on time and within budget. In his free time, Jason enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and quality time with his wife, their teenage son, and their 2 dogs.
