Jason Dubin founded Ambition Custom Homes (ACH) in 2017 after more than 20 years working in the residential construction industry progressing from hands-on laborer to project management roles, both before and after his time at Hofstra University and the University of Maryland. Jason and ACH are proud members of the NAHB and MBIA local chapter for Home Builders and Remodelers to stay fully engaged in the complex industry of construction.

Early Years

Jason has been involved in nearly all aspects of the building industry. Starting with his locally owned and operated family’s multi-generational flooring business. He then went on to work for a masonry crew, a painting contractor, and eventually found his true craft as a carpenter in Fort Collins, Colorado. Jason honed his craft over 5 years employed as a framing and trim carpenter for several companies before he was promoted into the roles of Site Superintendent and Project Manager in 2004. But he still loves to work on personal carpentry projects and to this day he continues to improve his skills and knowledge.

Custom Homes & Large Scale Renovation Experience

Over the next 15+ years Jason managed the high-end construction of over 100 custom homes and large-scale renovation projects for an award winning custom builder in the Bethesda, MD area. He started his first new home project under the ACH banner in 2018 by designing and building his own fully custom home for his family in Clarksburg, MD. His home was honored with the MBIA Award of Excellence for the Best Custom Home over 10,000 sf in the entire region, and it showcases a significant amount of his own designs and craftsmanship throughout. Upon completion of this project Jason opened the doors to ACH operations full-time in 2020, serving Bethesda, Kensington and surrounding areas throughout Montgomery County, Maryland.

Jason’s expertise in the residential construction business is rooted in his years of “boots on the ground” experience. Knowing he wanted to run his own business one day, throughout his career Jason strategically sought positions and projects that would increase the breadth and depth of his knowledge in order to better serve his clients. Jason has a keen eye for quality in products and superior craftmanship. He is known for running an aggressive schedule and holds his team, including all vendors and suppliers to the same high level of integrity with which he carries himself.

Jason understands what it takes to deliver a high-end project on budget and on time and has the passion to do so like no-one else in the industry.
